A Christ-centered nursery & primary school in Uganda — pairing academics with discipleship and a youth basketball program that opens doors to secondary school scholarships.

Acts 20:34–35 · NIV
“You yourselves know that these hands of mine have supplied my own needs and the needs of my companions. In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
Nations' Changers Christian School is built on this scripture — inscribed on our crest and lived out in every classroom, every practice, and every meal we share with the children entrusted to us.
— Proverbs 22:6
Founded in 2016 in partnership with the Children's Heritage Foundation, Nations' Changers educates nursery and primary students in the Wakiso & Mukono region — an academic home rooted in Christ.

Dozens of our alumni have advanced to secondary schools and universities on full scholarships — using academics and sport as a pathway out of hardship and into purpose.

Basketball is one of the ways we raise up leaders. Our youth program develops local talent, sends players on to secondary school on athletic scholarships, and teaches teamwork, discipline, and the love of Christ through the game.

Every practice begins & ends in prayer.
Makanga Godwin · Founder

[ Makanga Godwin ]
Founder, head coach, and lifelong servant of Kampala's children.
Born and raised in Uganda, Makanga traded a promising basketball career for a calling: to raise a generation of children who would change their nation. What began in 2016 with a handful of kids under a mango tree is now a full nursery & primary school, a championship basketball program, and a scholarship pipeline built on Acts 20:34–35.
Makanga Godwin is a Ugandan educator, youth basketball coach, and Christian ministry leader based in the Wakiso / Mukono region outside Kampala. He co-founded Nations' Changers Christian School in 2016 alongside the Children's Heritage Foundation, after years of housing, feeding, and mentoring vulnerable children in his community.
His conviction is simple: a child raised in the way of the Lord, given a real classroom and a real ball court, can change a nation. Under his leadership the school has grown from a single nursery class into a full nursery & primary program, a girls' and boys' basketball academy competing in Uganda's FUBA league, and a scholarship pipeline that has placed dozens of alumni into secondary schools and universities on full rides.
He is a proud partner of the Ascend Basketball Network USA, a husband, a father, and a coach who still opens every practice in prayer.
